Visiting the Museum
The Mississippi Museum of Art is one of the state's premier cultural attractions, conveniently located in downtown Jackson, alongside Thalia Mara Hall and the Jackson Convention Complex.
There are a myriad of ways for visitors to experience the Museum, from exploring superlative exhibitions and creating works of art in The Museum School classrooms to joining in Museum Events, shopping in The Museum Store, and celebrating momentous occasions in our gathering spaces.
The Art Garden is the perfect spot to spend some quiet time sketching or painting, taking a break from work and enjoy a picnic lunch ourside .
Whether you're a resident of Jackson, a Mississippi native, or a visitor from afar, we know you'll find something inspiring at the Mississippi Museum of Art!
The Mississippi Museum of Art and its programs are supported in part by the City of Jackson and the Visit Jackson. Support is also provided in part by funding from the Mississippi Arts Commission, a state agency, and in part by the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
