Experience Black Art Now. Join us as we celebrate Black History Month with a pop-up exhibition featuring photographs by Justin Hardiman, a fun game of Mississippi Card Revoked centered around our state's history, and an important conversation about why it's important for Black people to be in Museum spaces. Explore the galleries of New Symphony of Time in a guided tour; plus, meet and greet local Black owned businesses in the community. Be sure to stay for LIVE MUSIC produced by Mississippians Darrin Givens, Sigma, Big Savage, Chris Valentine, Donche, and 5th Child using samples (audio clips of sounds and/or songs) from renowned Mississippi musicians.

5:30-8:30 PM: Meet and Greet | Black Owned Businesses- Chelsea's Custom Creations, Herbal Blessings, Good Problems Vintage Clothing, Print's by Sugar and Soul - Monica, The Murals, OSKIADE, and Haus of Philia

5:30-7:30 PM: Art Lab | Quilt of Collage- Participants can create their own quilt collages & add to a collaborative quilt piece inspired by work on view in New Symphony of Time.

5:45-6 PM: 15-min Guided Tour in New Symphony of Time with our Teaching Fellows

6:00-8:00PM: Live Painting by Sabrina Howard

6:00-6:30 PM: Mississippi Card Revoked Game – Host:'Sipp Talk

6:30-7 PM: 30-minute Yoga - connect the mind, body, and spirit with rejuvenating kemetic meditating techniques with Keyah Williams and Diamond Rogers

6:30-7:30 PM: Open Dialogue- experience the importance of black people in museum spaces - Moderators: Art and Civil Rights Initiative Interns and 'Sipp Talk

7:30-8:30 PM: Mississippi Producers share beats made with MS Artist Samples I Darrin Givens, Sigma, Big Savage, Chris Valentine, Donche and 5th Child
