Look and Learn with Hoot | O ooh! Picasso by Mil Niepold and Jeanyves Verdu

Friday, September 18, 2020

10:30 AM

This month we’ll read a story about one of the artists whose work is in our exhibition Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and Their Times, Pablo Picasso! Picasso is
a painter who made art about objects he saw day-to-day through big, bold strokes of paint. Following our story, viewers will be prompted to create a
work of art about a household object using paper clippings, glue, scissors, markers, or pens. You may even notice that everything has the potential for art!
Fun fact: Did you know Pablo Picasso’s full name is 20 words long? His full name is “Pablo Diego José Francisco de Paula Juan Nepomuceno María de los
Remedios Cipriano de la Santísima Trinidad Ruiz y Picasso.” For more fun learning opportunities, check out the Mississippi Museum of Art App.
