Wake up from the fog of 2019 and start the new year with 20|20 vision! With thoughts of the new year fresh in our minds, this event will frame Nick Cave's art in its strength of showcasing protection, comfort, and community for the artist and viewer. As writer Samuel R. Delaney writes in his essay "Necessity of Tomorrows": "We need images of tomorrow; and our people need them more than most. Without an image of tomorrow, one is trapped by blind history, economics, and politics beyond our control. One is tied up in a web, in a net with no way to struggle free. Only by having clear and vital images of the many alternatives, good and bad, of where one can go, will we have any control over the way we may actually get there in a reality tomorrow will bring all too quickly," we invite you to join us and open our eyes to the work in Nick Cave: Feat., experience a reading and performance by Amanda Furdge and Kate Woodley, listen to musical guest Pam Confer, and start 2020 with creativity!
