Canton: The City of Lights

The movie capital of Mississippi becomes the 'city of lights' during the Christmas holidays. Townspeople and merchants deck the historic Courthouse Square with an array of more than 200,000 beautiful and enchanting lights. One of the special crowd pleasers for the past 13 years is the Canton Animation Museum, which started with 22 antique window decorations and grew to 135 life-sized animated figures representing Canton's history along with whimsical fantasy scenes from children's stories.
